Well,your Mother never had a manicure professionally until she could pay for it herself! I think she was 28 at the time. If you want to get your ears pierced,talk to your Great Auntie Dini - she kidnapped your Mother and had it done on the QT - but your Mom was 8 at the time - only 5 more years to go. Nonna was not amused.
